ISLAMABAD, Dec 13 (Alliance News): The Embassy of Romania in Islamabad has announced a special Christmas carols concert to celebrate the festive season, featuring renowned Romanian soprano Georgiana Costea-Gluga and Pakistani pianist Sheeza Maqsood.
The cultural event aims to share the spirit of Christmas through music and strengthen people-to-people ties between Romania and Pakistan.
The concert will be held on December 19, 2025, at 6:00 pm at Saint Thomas Church, located on Luqman Hakeem Road in Islamabad’s G-7/2 sector.
Diplomats, members of the cultural community and invited guests are expected to attend the evening of classical and traditional music.
According to the embassy, the programme will include traditional Romanian Christmas carols such as “Mo Craciun cu plete dalbe” and “O, ce veste minunata,” alongside internationally celebrated pieces, including “Silent Night.”
The performance will reflect Romania’s rich musical heritage while embracing the universal message of peace and joy associated with the Christmas season.
The Embassy of Romania stated that the invitation to the concert is strictly personal and extended exclusively to the invitee and their spouse.
Guests have been requested to confirm their attendance by December 15, 2025, to facilitate arrangements.
