Pakistan Condemns Israeli Strikes on Iran, Terms It Violation of Sovereignty

ISLAMABAD, June 13 (Alliance News): Pakistan has strongly condemned what it termed as “unjustified and illegitimate” Israeli aggression against Iran, following widescale military strikes targeting Iranian nuclear and military installations.

In a statement issued on Friday, the Foreign Office said Israel’s actions were a blatant violation of Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, breaching the UN Charter and core principles of international law. “Iran has the right to self-defence under Article 51 of the UN Charter,” it stated.

The Israeli military claimed the strikes aimed to halt Iran’s alleged nuclear weapons programme. Iranian sources confirmed explosions at key sites, including the Natanz uranium enrichment facility.

Reports also indicated the death of Revolutionary Guards commander Hossein Salami, and state media said children were among those killed after a residential area in Tehran was hit.

Reaffirming solidarity with Iran, Pakistan condemned the “blatant provocations” as a grave threat to regional and global peace.

“The international community and the United Nations must act immediately to stop this aggression and hold the aggressor accountable,” the Foreign Office emphasized.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar also denounced the Israeli strikes, calling them a brazen violation of Iran’s sovereignty. “This abhorrent action has shaken the foundations of international law and the conscience of humanity,” he stated on X, expressing Pakistan’s full support for Iran.

The Israeli assault represents a dangerous escalation in an already tense Middle East, sparking fears of a broader regional conflict with significant implications for international stability.
