PM Shehbaz Departs for Iran After Concluding Official Visit to Turkiye

ISTANBUL, May 26 (Alliance News): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Monday left for Iran after completing his two-day official visit to Turkiye.

The prime minister will arrive in Tehran where he is scheduled to meet with the Iranian leadership to discuss bilateral relations and regional matters of mutual interest.

At the Istanbul airport, PM Shehbaz was seen off by Turkish Minister of National Defense Yasar Guler, Deputy Governor Ilker Haktankacmaz, President of the Pakistan-Turkiye Cultural Association Burhan Kayaturk, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Turkiye Yousaf Junaid, Consul General Nauman Aslam, senior Turkish officials, and staff of the Pakistan Embassy, according to the PM Office Media Wing.

The visit to Turkiye aimed to convey Pakistan’s deep gratitude for the continued support extended by the Turkish leadership and people, particularly President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, during the recent crisis with India.
