Firing, Explosion Reported in Karachi’s Gulistan-e-Jauhar as Security Forces Launch Probe

KARACHI, June 27 (Alliance News):Intense firing followed by an explosion was reported near Gulistan-e-Jauhar Block 6 on Saturday, prompting an immediate security response from police and other law enforcement agencies.

According to police officials, teams from multiple law enforcement departments were dispatched to the area after receiving reports of the incident near Mosmiyat Chowrangi.

Following the incident, authorities closed several roads for traffic as a precautionary measure. The route from Mosmiyat Chowrangi towards Gulistan-e-Jauhar Block 6 and Kamran Chowrangi was blocked, while another road connecting Mosmiyat Chowrangi to Chaman Iqbal Colony was also shut.

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah took notice of the incident and sought a detailed report from Sindh Inspector General of Police and Karachi Additional Inspector General, according to a spokesperson.

Sindh Home Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar also directed the Karachi AIG to submit an immediate report regarding the incident.

Security officials are investigating the nature of the firing and explosion, while further details are awaited.
