ABU DHABI, June 12 (Alliance News): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Abu Dhabi on Thursday for a daylong official visit to the United Arab Emirates, following an invitation from UAE President and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Upon arrival at Al Bateen Airport, Prime Minister Shehbaz was warmly received by Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, brother of the UAE President and the UAE’s National Security Advisor. Sheikh Tahnoun also accompanied the prime minister to the Presidential Palace.
The Secretary General of the UAE Supreme National Security Council, Ali Ahmed Al Shamsi, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UAE Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, and other senior diplomatic staff were also present at the airport to welcome the prime minister.
During the visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz will hold a meeting with President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to discuss matters of mutual interest, bilateral cooperation, and regional developments.
The Pakistani delegation includes Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi.
