PM Shehbaz, UAE President Pledge Stronger Economic and Development Partnership

ABU DHABI, June 12(Alliance News): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Thursday in Abu Dhabi, where both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation, particularly in economic, investment, and development sectors.

The high-level meeting took place at Qasr Al Shati Palace, where the two leaders also exchanged Eid ul Adha greetings and offered prayers for prosperity and peace across the Muslim world.

During the talks, both sides reiterated their resolve to deepen constructive ties and broaden strategic cooperation to achieve shared national development goals and economic progress.

They also reviewed key regional and international developments, expressing mutual interest in supporting global peace and stability.

Prime Minister Shehbaz praised the UAE president’s leadership in promoting peace, dialogue, and diplomatic solutions worldwide.

He also expressed gratitude for the UAE’s continued support for Pakistan, including vital development initiatives.

The meeting was attended by Abu Dhabi Deputy Ruler and National Security Adviser Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, along with several top Emirati officials. PM Shehbaz was accompanied by ministers and senior officials from Pakistan.

Earlier, PM Shehbaz was received at Al Bateen Airport by Sheikh Tahnoon and senior UAE dignitaries, marking the start of his official visit to the Emirates.

Pakistan’s Participation in London Tech Week 2025

In a related development during his UAE trip, PM Shehbaz highlighted Pakistan’s participation in London Tech Week 2025, celebrating the country’s emerging digital presence on a global stage.

He said Pakistan is steadfast in its journey toward a knowledge-based economy, embracing digital transformation, youth empowerment, and global tech engagement.

He congratulated all stakeholders, including the Ministry of IT, PSEB, TDAP, and tech entrepreneurs, for projecting a forward-looking image of Pakistan. “Pakistan’s tech future is bright, Insha’Allah,” he remarked.
