ISLAMABAD, May 28 (Alliance News): Federal Minister for Human Rights Azam Nazeer Tarar, in his message on Youm-e-Takbeer, stated that the day symbolizes Pakistan’s unwavering resolve to safeguard its sovereignty while promoting regional peace and stability.
Marking the 26th anniversary of Pakistan’s nuclear tests, the minister said, “Today, as we observe Youm-e-Takbeer, we proudly recall the historic day when Pakistan emerged as the first nuclear power in the Islamic world. This milestone reflects our nation’s unity, strength, and collective determination.”
Tarar highlighted that the nuclear achievement of 1998 remains a symbol of national pride and is a tribute to the visionary leadership that guided Pakistan’s nuclear journey — initiated by Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Shaheed and realized under the leadership of elected Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
He further expressed hope that Youm-e-Takbeer would renew the nation’s commitment to building a stronger, inclusive Pakistan, grounded in justice, equality, and respect for all.
