PM Shehbaz Sharif Arrives in Azerbaijan for Trilateral Summit with Turkiye, Azerbaijan

ISLAMABAD, May 27 (Alliance News): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Lachin, Azerbaijan on Tuesday to participate in the Pakistan-Turkiye-Azerbaijan Trilateral Summit, a key diplomatic engagement aimed at strengthening regional cooperation among the three nations.

At Lachin airport, the prime minister was warmly received by Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan Qasim Mohiuddin, and other members of the diplomatic corps, according to a statement from the PM Office Media Wing.

The prime minister is accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi.

During the summit, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will join President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkiye and President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan to discuss enhancing trilateral cooperation in areas including trade, defense, energy, and connectivity.

On the sidelines of the summit, Prime Minister Shehbaz is also scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to further strengthen bilateral ties between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.
