Islamabad, April 29 (Alliance News): An unusual moment unfolded during the hearing of a CDA-related plot allotment case at the Islamabad High Court when Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani expressed dissatisfaction with the arguments presented by the petitioner’s counsel.
During proceedings, the lawyer representing petitioner Raja Faisal Younis failed to convince the bench. Addressing him candidly, Justice Kayani remarked, “Raja Sahib, I am not satisfied with your arguments, but I will give you relief.”
The court further observed that the matter would not be decided in the current manner and indicated that a new judge would hear the case.
“Perhaps another judge may better understand your arguments after hearing you. You should try presenting your case again before the new judge,” he added.
The remarks drew laughter across the courtroom, reflecting the lighter tone adopted during the exchange. Justice Kayani also noted that it is not uncommon for one judge to find a case difficult to grasp while another may interpret it differently.
During the hearing, counsel for the Capital Development Authority (CDA) also addressed the court, continuing arguments on the matter.
