HEC’s Quality Assurance Agency Conducts Capacity-Building Workshops at Aga Khan University

ISLAMABAD, Jun 23 (APP): The Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) successfully organized two capacity-building workshops at Aga Khan University (AKU) in Karachi, focusing on strengthening quality assurance mechanisms in higher education.

According to official sources, the workshops brought together Directors of Quality Enhancement Cells (QECs) from public and private universities across Sindh and Balochistan.

The sessions were part of QAA’s nationwide initiative to implement the newly introduced Quality Assurance Framework (PSG-2023).

Participants reviewed progress on QAA-assigned targets to degree-awarding institutions and deepened their understanding of the recently revised HEC-QAD policies.

These workshops followed similar successful sessions previously held in Punjab, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan (GB), and Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK).

The events concluded with certificate distribution ceremonies, a guided tour of AKU’s quality assurance best practices, and a collective reaffirmation of commitment by participants to uplift Pakistan’s higher education quality standards.
