Pakistan Condemns Indian Rhetoric, Urges Focus on Peace

ISLAMABAD, Jun 02 (Alliance News): Pakistan on Monday strongly condemned recent hostile statements from Indian political leaders and the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, terming the remarks as a reflection of a “deeply troubling mindset” that threatens regional peace and stability.

In response to media queries about comments made on May 29, particularly during political events in Bihar, the Foreign Office spokesperson said that India’s attempts to malign Pakistan were completely detached from reality and part of a continuing pattern of hostility towards peace.

The spokesperson stressed that blaming Pakistan for regional instability is both misleading and an attempt to deflect attention from India’s own documented involvement in terrorist activities inside Pakistan.

He reiterated that the Jammu and Kashmir dispute remains the core issue endangering regional peace.

Pakistan, he affirmed, will continue to support a just and lasting resolution in accordance with the UN Security Council resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people. “Sidestepping this fundamental issue only prolongs mistrust and the risk of confrontation,” he warned.

Referring to the recent tensions between the two nuclear-armed nations, the spokesperson emphasized that India cannot achieve its objectives through threats, coercion, or distortion of facts.

Pakistan, while committed to peace and constructive dialogue, will firmly defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity against any aggression.

“Lasting peace in South Asia demands maturity, restraint, and courage to address the root causes—not short-sighted political point-scoring,” he concluded.
