ISLAMABAD, Jun 19 (Alliance News): Romanian Ambassador to Pakistan, Dr. Dan Stoenescu, paid a courtesy visit to the Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation (PBC) on Wednesday and met with Director General Saeed Ahmed Shaikh to discuss avenues for enhanced cultural and media collaboration between the two countries.
During the meeting, Ambassador Stoenescu emphasized the important role that public broadcasting institutions play in promoting mutual understanding and cultural exchange.
He expressed Romania’s keen interest in strengthening ties with Pakistan through greater cooperation between Radio Romania and Radio Pakistan.
Both sides explored the potential for establishing a formal framework for media collaboration, which may include content exchange, joint programming, and technical cooperation in digital broadcasting.
They also discussed initiatives to support Pakistani workers abroad through relevant media content.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to deepen bilateral media cooperation and take concrete steps toward formalizing the partnership between the two national broadcasters.
