Egyptian FM, COAS Discuss Defence, Security Cooperation

RAWALPINDI, Dec 01 (Alliance News): Foreign Minister of the Arab Republic of Egypt Dr. Badr Ahmed Mohamed Abdelatty called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, on Monday to review and advance bilateral defence and security cooperation.

According to an ISPR news release, both sides discussed the overall trajectory of Pakistan–Egypt relations, focusing on defence collaboration, military-to-military engagement, training exchanges, and regional peace and stability.

The meeting reaffirmed the shared commitment to deepen coordination and strengthen long-standing strategic ties between the two brotherly nations.

The Egyptian Foreign Minister conveyed warm greetings from his country’s leadership and reiterated Egypt’s intention to further broaden cooperation with Pakistan across multiple sectors.

Both sides emphasized the significance of continued high-level interactions to address emerging challenges amid evolving regional security dynamics.
