ISLAMABAD, Jun 25 (Alliance News): Pakistan’s National Security Advisor (NSA) participated in the 20th meeting of the Secretaries of the Security Council of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Member States, held on June 24, 2025, in Beijing, China.
According to an official news release, the NSA, during his visit, met with senior Chinese leadership and delivered a significant speech outlining Pakistan’s position on the evolving global and regional security landscape.
He reiterated Pakistan’s contributions to peace and stability and reaffirmed the country’s consistent commitment to multilateral cooperation within the SCO framework.
In his remarks, the NSA stressed Pakistan’s enduring vision for a stable and peaceful neighborhood and highlighted Islamabad’s role as a “Net Regional Stabilizer” committed to combating terrorism, enhancing connectivity, and promoting economic integration in the region.
The NSA also held important bilateral meetings with counterparts from other SCO member states, focusing on enhancing security cooperation, intelligence sharing, and strategies to counter emerging security threats, including cyber and hybrid warfare.
He underscored Pakistan’s resolve to deepen institutional linkages and policy coordination among SCO members to promote regional security and development.
The visit reaffirmed Pakistan’s active engagement with the SCO and emphasized its desire to contribute constructively to regional peace, connectivity, and collective prosperity.
