ISLAMABAD, July 24 (Alliance News): President Asif Ali Zardari on Thursday lauded China’s vital role in Pakistan’s socio-economic development and emphasized the vast opportunities for strengthening bilateral cooperation in trade, economy, culture, and regional connectivity.
He made these remarks during a meeting with Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong, who called on him in Islamabad.
The president reaffirmed Pakistan’s deep commitment to its strategic partnership with China and expressed eagerness to further deepen collaboration in areas of mutual interest.
President Zardari stressed the importance of working together to promote peace, security, and prosperity in the region.
He appreciated China’s unwavering support during challenging times, stating that the people of Pakistan were grateful to their “iron-clad brother” for standing by the country consistently.
During the meeting, Ambassador Jiang conveyed a special birthday message from Chinese President Xi Jinping, extending heartfelt wishes to President Zardari on his upcoming birthday.
