Chinese Air Chief Hails PAF’s Precision in India Conflict During Islamabad Visit

ISLAMABAD, Jul 9 (Alliance News): Chief of Staff of the People’s Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF), Lieutenant General Wang Gang, on Tuesday praised the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) for demonstrating a “textbook example of precision, discipline, and courage” under the leadership of Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu during the recent conflict with India.

Heading a high-level Chinese military delegation, Lt Gen Wang called on the PAF Chief at Air Headquarters Islamabad, where both sides discussed regional security dynamics and enhanced bilateral cooperation in the airpower domain, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.

Lt Gen Wang expressed admiration for PAF’s high level of operational readiness, modern capabilities, and its seamless integration of Multi-Domain Operations, calling it a hallmark of contemporary air warfare. He conveyed PLAAF’s keen interest in learning from PAF’s battle-tested experience, particularly its strategic leadership and professionalism during conflict scenarios.

The Chinese military leader also received a detailed briefing on PAF’s modern force structure, strategic modernization initiatives, and evolving operational doctrines.

Welcoming the delegation, Air Chief Marshal Sidhu reaffirmed the deep-rooted, historic friendship between Pakistan and China, underpinned by mutual trust and shared regional peace objectives. He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening air force-to-air force ties with China through expanded cooperation in training, technology, and joint operations.

The visit marks a new chapter in China-Pakistan defence collaboration and reinforces the shared resolve of both nations to further solidify their strategic partnership, ISPR concluded.
