ISLAMABAD, June 17 (Alliance News): The Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training (MoFEPT), in collaboration with the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE), launched the Summer Fiesta 2025 with an inspiring inaugural ceremony at Islamabad College for Girls (ICG), F-6/2.
Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training, Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, in his keynote address, underscored the transformative power of education.
“Education is the only way to bring a revolution across generations,” he said, emphasizing the role of training and skills in empowering Pakistan’s youth.
Highlighting gender equity, Dr. Siddiqui added, “In a society like Pakistan, where women share half the sky, their education and skill development are equally vital.”
He also pointed out the importance of keeping pace with the digital era, stating, “Understanding and adapting to AI and advanced technologies is essential — the next 25 years are crucial for Pakistan to embrace global advancements.”
He concluded his remarks by reflecting on the joy the initiative brings: “The smiles on these children’s faces bring peace to our hearts. We will do everything possible to ensure a bright future for them because they are our future.”
Director General of FDE, Syed Junaid Akhlaq, stressed the significance of skill-based learning and appreciated the support of partner organizations and host institutions. Minister of State for Education, Ms. Wajiha Qamar, lauded the initiative and reiterated the government’s resolve to promote educational empowerment nationwide.
The Summer Fiesta 2025 is a two-week-long program designed to engage students in productive learning during their summer vacation — entirely free of cost. It combines creativity, fun, and essential skill-building opportunities.
The wide range of courses offered includes Public Speaking and Podcasting, Web & App Development, Scratch Programming, Digital Arts and Graphic Design, Canva and Graphic Illustration, Fashion Designing, Cosmetology and Personal Grooming, Financial Literacy and E-Commerce, Home Repair and Maintenance, the Art of Cooking, Painting, and Paper Craft.
