ISLAMABAD, Apr 30 (Alliance News): Pakistani security forces responded strongly to an unprovoked ceasefire violation by Indian troops along the Line of Control (LoC) during the night of April 29-30, military sources confirmed Tuesday.
According to security officials, Indian forces opened unprovoked fire using small arms in the Kiani and Mandal sectors. In response, the Pakistan Army launched a precise and effective counterattack, destroying several Indian bunkers, including the Chakputra post in Indian-occupied Kashmir.
Military sources stated that the Pakistan Army’s swift response demonstrated its full operational readiness and commitment to defending the country’s sovereignty. The retaliatory action successfully silenced Indian firing positions.
Amid the escalation, reports emerged of India evacuating areas near the LoC in occupied Kashmir. Officials linked the incident to New Delhi’s continued aggressive stance and ongoing crackdown against Kashmiri Muslims, warning that such provocations could destabilize the region further.
Security sources reiterated that the Pakistan Army remains fully alert and prepared to respond to any threat.
