ISLAMABAD, May 19 (Alliance News): Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met with the Ambassador of Qatar, Ali Mubarak Ali Essa Al-Khater, in Islamabad to discuss bilateral relations and matters of mutual interest, including the regional situation following the ceasefire between Pakistan and India.
During the meeting, Minister Naqvi described his recent visit to Qatar as highly productive, highlighting key engagements with the Qatari Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister, and Interior Minister.
He noted that both sides agreed to deepen cooperation in areas such as counter-narcotics, counter-terrorism, security, and professional training programs.
He emphasized that Pakistan prioritizes strong ties with Qatar and considers the Gulf nation a trusted and valuable partner.
Naqvi confirmed that senior Qatari officials are expected to visit Pakistan soon as part of the follow-up to recent discussions.
Additionally, a high-level Pakistani delegation led by the Federal Interior Secretary will visit Qatar and include heads of all departments under the Ministry of Interior.
Federal Interior Secretary Muhammad Khurram Agha and other senior officials were also present during the meeting.
