Ishaq Dar Reaffirms Support for Iran in Bilateral Meeting at SCO Summit

ISLAMABAD, Jul 15 (Alliance News): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a bilateral meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi on Tuesday, on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) in Tianjin, China.

The two leaders reviewed bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and Iran across multiple sectors and shared perspectives on the rapidly evolving regional situation, particularly in light of recent Israeli aggression against Iran, according to a statement from the DPM’s Office.

Senator Dar expressed Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with the people and Government of Iran, reaffirming Pakistan’s principled stance in favor of regional peace and stability.

He stressed that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only effective and viable routes to de-escalation and long-term peace in the region.
