DAMASCUS, September 8 (Alliance News): Saudi Arabia has dispatched a convoy of 50 aid trucks to Syria under its ongoing humanitarian land bridge initiative, delivering more than 670 tons of medical, food, and shelter supplies for the Syrian people.

The convoy was launched in Damascus by Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, Advisor at the Royal Court and General Supervisor of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief).

According to KSrelief, the trucks carried dialysis machines, medical equipment, ambulances, food parcels, shelter materials, debris removal equipment, and heavy machinery.

The latest delivery adds to a relief operation that began in 2025, which has already seen 800 trucks cross into Syria via the land bridge and 18 aircraft through the Saudi air bridge, bringing the total humanitarian assistance to 13,561 tons.

Saudi officials emphasized that the initiative reflects the Kingdom’s strong commitment to helping the Syrian people, ensuring access to vital services such as healthcare, housing, and food security.
