RIYADH, Nov 26 (Alliance News): Soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo delivered another moment of brilliance on Sunday, scoring an outrageous bicycle kick in Al Nassr’s 4-1 victory over Al Khaleej in the Saudi Pro League.
In the final minute of stoppage time, Ronaldo leapt acrobatically to meet a pinpoint cross from Nawaf Boushal, sending a stunning overhead strike toward goal.
Al Khaleej goalkeeper Anthony Moris managed only a slight touch before the ball bounced into the net, leaving the crowd at Al-Awwal Park in awe.
The 40-year-old icon erupted into his trademark ‘Siu’ celebration at the corner flag, drawing thunderous cheers from the Al Nassr faithful. The Arabic commentator captured the moment by declaring, “There are legends that are always repeated and legends born only once in a lifetime.”
Ronaldo later posted the replay on Instagram, inviting fans to craft creative captions for the spectacular goal.
The strike instantly drew comparisons to his iconic bicycle kick against Juventus in the 2018 Champions League quarterfinals, often regarded as one of the greatest goals of his career.
The goal—Ronaldo’s 10th of the league campaign—capped off a dominant performance by Al Nassr. The team led 2-0 at halftime through João Félix and Wesley.
Murad Al Hawsawi briefly narrowed the margin with a powerful long-range effort early in the second half, but Sadio Mané restored control with a superb curled finish in the 77th minute, before Ronaldo added the final flourish deep into stoppage time.
With this win, Al Nassr maintained their perfect start to the Saudi Pro League, securing nine victories from nine matches as Ronaldo and teammates aim to deliver the club’s first league title since 2019.
The performance also underscores the Portuguese star’s enduring brilliance as he gears up for what will be his last FIFA World Cup with Portugal next year.
