ISLAMABAD, Nov 30 (Alliance News): Minister for Defence Khawaja Muhammad Asif on Sunday said unnecessary and irresponsible speculation was being spread without justification regarding the appointment of the Chief of Defence Forces (CDF).
He clarified in a post on X that the formal process for the appointment had already begun. He said Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif was returning home shortly and the notification for the new Chief of Defence Forces would be issued at the appropriate time.
Khawaja Asif stressed that there was no room for speculation or baseless commentary on the matter.
