Superior University, Meri Pehchan Ink MoU to boost student opportunities

Lahore, April 26 (Alliance News): Superior University Lahore and Meri Pehchan Welfare Foundation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at promoting learning, enhancing employability, and creating meaningful opportunities for students through collaborative initiatives.

The MoU was formally signed by Director of the Office of Employability & Alumni Relations at Superior University, Imran Ijaz, and President of Meri Pehchan Welfare Foundation, Ms. Shahida Naveed.

The agreement marks a significant step toward strengthening academic-industry linkages and fostering social impact through education and community engagement.

Under this partnership, both institutions will work closely to connect students with purpose-driven opportunities, including internships, job placements, and hands-on experience in welfare and development sectors.

The collaboration is designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical exposure, enabling students to better understand real-world challenges while contributing to societal uplift.

The initiative places strong emphasis on women empowerment, skill development, and socio-economic progress. Meri Pehchan Welfare Foundation will organize training sessions, mentorship programs, and interactive workshops to equip students with leadership skills and professional competencies.

These efforts aim to prepare students not only for careers but also for responsible roles in society.

Speaking on the occasion, President Meri Pehchan Welfare Foundation, Ms. Shaida Naveed, expressed pride in signing the MoU as an alumna of Superior University.

She stated that the organization strongly believes in youth empowerment and emphasized the importance of linking educational institutions with the corporate sector to create relevant employment opportunities.

She noted that the foundation would actively facilitate internships and job placements across various organizations.

Highlighting another critical aspect, she underscored the importance of mental health awareness among students. She said that increasing cases of student suicides are a serious concern for both families and educational institutions, and called for collective efforts to address the issue.

She added that through this collaboration, awareness sessions and training programs on mental health will be organized to support students and encourage peer support mechanisms.

Director Office of Employability & Alumni Relations, Imran Ijaz, reiterated Superior University’s commitment to empowering students through skill development and opportunity creation.

He stated that the university is making consistent efforts to bring positive change by equipping students with the tools necessary for professional growth and societal contribution.

Officials from both sides, including Muhammad Ahmer, Manager at the Office of Employability & Alumni Relations, Muhammad Kaleem, Fakhar Hayat and other officials attended the ceremony.

The MoU was also witnessed by representatives from both institutions, reaffirming their shared vision to foster academic excellence, social responsibility, and sustainable development.
