TEHRAN, Aug 13 (Alliance News): Iran’s Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, Mohsen Rezaei, has described Pakistan as a great asset to the Muslim world, saying the affection between the people of Pakistan and Iran is unmatched anywhere in the world.
The remarks came during a meeting with Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi in Tehran, where the two sides discussed bilateral relations and regional cooperation.
Mohsen Rezaei said Pakistan and Iran are strategic partners and stressed that the government, armed forces and people of Pakistan are a valuable asset for the Islamic world.
He also underscored the need for greater unity among Muslim countries, calling for closer cooperation between Pakistan, Iran, Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Indonesia to address common regional and global challenges.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said relations between Pakistan and Iran had grown stronger over the past several months, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to further enhancing cooperation with Tehran in areas of mutual interest.
The meeting reflected the continued momentum in bilateral engagement as both countries seek to strengthen strategic, security and regional cooperation.
