KARACHI, July 6 (Alliance News): Federal Minister for Finance Muhammad Aurangzeb on Monday inaugurated the Invest Pak Portal, reaffirming the government’s commitment to providing maximum facilitation to investors and promoting domestic and foreign investment through digital innovation.
Speaking at the launch ceremony, Aurangzeb congratulated State Bank of Pakistan Governor Jameel Ahmad on the initiative, describing the portal as the beginning of a new era for investment in Pakistan.
“The Invest Pak Portal marks a significant milestone in our efforts to attract investment and create a more investor-friendly environment,” the finance minister said.
He said the portal aims to promote foreign direct investment by offering a streamlined digital platform that simplifies investment procedures and improves ease of doing business.
Aurangzeb noted that Pakistan offers vast investment opportunities across multiple sectors and said the government remains committed to introducing reforms that encourage private sector participation and economic growth.
Highlighting efforts to expand financial inclusion, the finance minister said individuals can now invest as little as Rs5,000 through the JazzCash mobile application. He added that participation in the Pakistan Stock Exchange has also increased, particularly among young investors, as the government seeks to encourage Generation Z to explore investment opportunities.
He said digital platforms such as the Invest Pak Portal will accelerate investment processes, enhance transparency, and provide world-class services to local and international investors.
Earlier, State Bank Governor Jameel Ahmad said the central bank was taking effective measures to promote investment through digital transformation.
He said the Invest Pak Portal would provide investors with comprehensive online services and a one-window facility, making investment procedures faster, more transparent, and more efficient.
“The country’s economy is moving towards greater stability, and modern digital systems will improve transparency while significantly enhancing investor convenience,” the governor said.
