Ishaq Dar, UK HC discuss bilateral ties and regional situation

ISLAMABAD, Jul 9 (Alliance News): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Thursday met British High Commissioner to Pakistan Jane Marriott to discuss Pakistan-United Kingdom relations and the evolving regional situation.

According to an official statement, the two sides reviewed bilateral ties and exchanged views on regional developments, particularly the recent situation involving the United States and Iran.

During the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar highlighted Pakistan’s constructive mediation efforts aimed at reducing regional tensions. He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to dialogue, diplomacy and peaceful resolution of disputes to promote stability in the region.

The meeting also reaffirmed the importance of continued engagement and cooperation between Pakistan and the United Kingdom on issues of mutual interest.
