ISLAMABAD, Dec 7 (Alliance News): Pakistan and Finland are cooperating in various areas of mutual interest to further promote their trade, clean energy and education.

These views were expressed by Finland’s ambassador to Pakistan, Hannu Ripatti, while addressing the participants of the 106th National Day of the country’s independence anniversary.

Ambassador Hannu Ripatti said that it is a moment of honor for me that Finland is doing a great job to provide quality education to Pakistani students, who are pursuing their studies in Finland.

The embassy has started its operations here in Pakistan to cater to the needs of students but permanent resident visa seekers.

“I am happy to report that Pakistani students are eager to pursue their studies, especially in the field of IT and Forestry. According to the Pakistani Consul General in Finland, about 1000 Pakistani students are studying in Finland. are

Pakistan does not have an embassy in Finland and the mission in Sweden also looks after Finland. He remarked that if Pakistan opens an embassy in Finland, things will become much easier.

Finland will take more steps to increase its trade with Pakistan, Hanno Ripti said “as we know that trade is done by companies and companies need good products so that people can buy these products.”

Later, Ambassador to Pakistan Hannu Ripatti alongwith his wife cut the cake on the occasion of Finland’s Independence Day celebrations at a local hotel here.

During the opening remarks, the ambassador said that the re-opening of the embassy is a good omen for the two countries, which will bring the two countries closer in various fields, including the culture of trade and investment, and many others that will strengthen the relationship between the two countries. will cause

The ambassador said that his country is keen to work again with Pakistan in various areas of mutual interest.

He also expressed happiness on the Independence Day celebration that the embassy will celebrate its events with enthusiasm in the future after the grand celebration of Pakistan and enjoy healthy relations within its jurisdiction.

During the event, various EU members, ambassadors and representatives of international organizations were invited to Finland’s National Day celebrations.
