ISLAMABAD, Aug 20 (Alliance News): Preparations have been completed to shift Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan from Adiala Jail to Shifa International Hospital, with the transfer expected to take place tonight, sources said. Islamabad Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi visited the hospital with senior police officers and reviewed security arrangements. Heavy police contingents were deployed around the hospital, while vehicles parked nearby were removed as part of the security measures. PTI sources said Imran Khan is expected to be shifted before midnight and that authorities have informed PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan about the planned transfer. The development follows the Supreme Court’s order directing authorities to move the jailed former prime minister to Shifa International Hospital within two days. The government has also filed a review petition against the decision, but sources said the plea was returned by the Registrar’s Office after objections were raised.
