Govt to raise Balochistan evidence at global forums

ISLAMABAD, July 11, 2026 (Alliance News): Adviser to the Prime Minister on Political and Public Affairs Rana Sanaullah on Friday said the government has decided to present evidence of India’s alleged involvement in terrorism in Balochistan before international forums.

Speaking on a television programme, Rana Sanaullah said the security situation in Balochistan was not merely a law and order issue but what he described as a proxy war imposed by India through Afghan territory.

He said the decision to approach global forums had been taken at the highest level and that Pakistan would present what it described as concrete evidence regarding India’s alleged support for militant groups operating in Balochistan.

His remarks came as security forces continued Operation Shaban in Balochistan. According to security sources, 17 more militants were killed on Friday, raising the number of militants killed in the operation to 43. Officials also said a total of 91 militants had been killed in Operation Shaban and other intelligence-based operations since July 5.

The operation was launched after the attack on the Mangi Dam police station and is being conducted jointly by the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps and Balochistan Police.

Earlier this week, ISPR Director General Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said police personnel had fought bravely against attackers during the Mangi Dam incident, where 27 police officials embraced martyrdom while 26 militants were killed.

Separately, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, while chairing the Provincial Apex Committee meeting in Quetta, reaffirmed the government’s resolve to continue counterterrorism operations until terrorism is eliminated from the country.

The prime minister also alleged that Pakistan’s eastern neighbour was supporting terrorist groups and said Afghan territory was being used to launch attacks against Pakistan.
