ISLAMABAD, Sept 18 (Alliance News): The World Health Organization (WHO), a subsidiary of the United Nations, has warned that the number of diseases and deaths in Pakistan after the floods is a threat of another disaster.
Director WHO Dr. Tedros has said in a statement that Pakistan is facing a new disaster in the form of deaths due to diseases after flood disasters due to climate change.
He said that WHO will issue a new appeal for aid after 10 million dollars, asking donors from all over the world to donate generously to save lives.
On the other hand, the United Nations has made a new appeal for emergency aid for the endangered lives of millions of children surrounded by floods.
According to UNICEF, about 3.4 million flood-affected children are waiting for immediate assistance, children trapped in floods are surrounded by hunger and diseases.
According to UNICEF, stomach diseases along with malaria and dengue are attacking these children, these boys and girls are paying the price of the climate disaster in which they have no part.
UNICEF says that mothers of flood-affected infants are malnourished and unable to breastfeed.
