The session was co-chaired by Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, and the UAE’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral ties rooted in mutual respect, brotherhood, and shared aspirations for regional peace and economic development.

The JMC meeting reviewed the full spectrum of bilateral relations and concluded with a clear roadmap for deepening cooperation in critical sectors.

These include trade, banking, investment, culture, aviation, railways, energy, food security, climate change, defence, healthcare, higher education, manpower, and information technology.

Emphasis was placed on advancing institutional collaboration and enhancing inter-ministerial coordination between the two countries.

A working group session was held prior to the ministerial talks, led by Pakistan’s Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Bajwa and UAE Minister of State Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh.

The group laid the groundwork for the formal discussions and helped finalize sectoral priorities and deliverables.

Both sides also signed several key documents to formalize their cooperation, including a Protocol of the 12th JMC, which sets out procedural frameworks for implementation, coordination through sectoral working groups, and facilitation of reciprocal official visits.

In addition to the protocol, three landmark agreements were signed:

  • A Memorandum of Understanding on Mutual Exemption of Entry Visa Requirements, aiming to ease travel between the two nations;

  • An MoU for the Establishment of a Joint Task Force to Promote Investments, designed to streamline and accelerate joint economic ventures;

  • And an Agreement on Artificial Intelligence and the Digital Economy, signaling a commitment to collaborative innovation and tech-driven development.

The two foreign ministers also exchanged views on major regional and global developments, reaffirming their mutual commitment to peace, security, and stability in the broader Middle East and South Asia regions.

The session, held in a spirit of brotherhood and shared vision, reflected the strategic depth and maturity of Pakistan-UAE relations. Both countries expressed satisfaction over the outcomes of the session and agreed to hold the 13th JMC meeting in Pakistan on mutually convenient dates.

The successful conclusion of the 12th JMC not only underscored the robustness of the bilateral relationship but also laid the foundation for a more dynamic and progressive partnership, aligned with the evolving geopolitical and economic landscape.
