Ishaq Dar Stresses Expansion of Pakistan-Japan Ties in Trade and Technology

ISLAMABAD, June 16 (Alliance News): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Monday underscored the need to further strengthen Pakistan-Japan bilateral relations, particularly in the sectors of trade, investment, information technology, and industrial cooperation.

He shared these views during a farewell meeting with Pakistan’s Ambassador-designate to Japan, Abdul Hameed Bhutta, who called on him at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, according to a press release by the Foreign Office.

Extending his congratulations, Senator Dar wished Ambassador Bhutta success in his new assignment and expressed hope that he would play a proactive role in advancing economic diplomacy between the two nations.

The Deputy Prime Minister also urged the ambassador-designate to focus on improving services for the Pakistani diaspora in Japan. “Extend maximum support to our community, particularly by enhancing consular services and safeguarding their welfare,” he directed.
