Pakistan Navy Rescues 20 Crew Members from Sinking Cargo Vessel Near Ormara

KARACHI, Jul 10 (Alliance News): The Pakistan Navy, in coordination with the Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA), successfully rescued all 20 Pakistani crew members from a sinking cargo vessel east of Ormara during a swift emergency operation.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the rescue operation was launched after the Joint Maritime Information Coordination Centre received a distress call from the vessel.

The Pakistan Navy immediately deployed PNS HUNAIN along with the required aerial assets to carry out the rescue mission.

The ISPR said all 20 crew members were safely evacuated due to the professionalism and timely response of the rescue teams.

It added that the rescued personnel are receiving the necessary medical treatment.

The military’s media wing said the successful operation reflects the Pakistan Navy and the Pakistan Maritime Security Agency’s strong commitment to protecting lives at sea and maintaining readiness to respond to maritime emergencies.
