ISLAMABAD, July 06 (Alliance News): Facebook has introduced a simplified content monetisation criterion for some creators in Pakistan, making it easier for eligible users to earn revenue through the platform.
The latest update allows selected Facebook pages and accounts to unlock the Content Monetisation feature by achieving 300,000 views within 28 days, replacing previous requirements that were significantly more demanding for many creators.
Previously, creators generally had to meet higher thresholds, such as 10,000 followers and millions of minutes of watch time, before becoming eligible for monetisation. The new challenge is expected to help more content creators and freelancers qualify for earning opportunities.
Once the Content Monetisation tool is activated, eligible creators can begin generating income in US dollars through Facebook’s monetisation programmes, provided they continue to comply with the platform’s community standards and monetisation policies.
However, the update is not available to all Facebook pages and accounts. The new monetisation challenge is currently being rolled out selectively, meaning only eligible users who receive the invitation can participate.
Digital content experts advise creators to produce original, policy-compliant content and regularly check their Professional Dashboard to determine whether the new monetisation option has been enabled for their accounts.
