RAWALPINDI, Jul 10 (Alliance News): A man has been arrested for allegedly killing his cousin following a dispute over Rs300 in Rawalpindi, police said on Friday.
According to police, the incident occurred after the suspect demanded repayment of Rs300 from his maternal cousin. The argument escalated, and the suspect allegedly attacked the victim with a knife, causing fatal injuries.
The accused fled the scene after the incident. However, police registered a case and later arrested the suspect, identified as Umair.
Police also recovered the alleged murder weapon during the investigation.
Authorities said further legal proceedings are underway, while the motive behind the killing is being investigated.
The incident is the latest in a series of violent crimes reportedly triggered by minor disputes in different parts of the country.
